Next, multiple thin layers of red paint are applied and while this cures for a few days, the image is printed, sealed and then carefully mounted onto the birchwood and put in a press overnight to ensure good adhesion. The final step is to seal it with a final premium, museum grade protective finish and allow it to cure for 48 hours.
